To facilitate greater transparency, trust, awareness, and consistency among and within BIPOC and LBGTQIA+ individuals, partners, and families. I work with and welcome various backgrounds into therapy while practicing through a social justice lens to resist the oppressive systems we live under in order to better strengthen and find patience within ourselves and our communities.

Roderick(Roe) Thomas II, LMFT(They/them)

Roderick(Roe) Thomas II is the owner of Abundant Fruit Clinical Therapy and Consultation, LLC. They are a licensed mental health therapist who has been working with youth, young adults, and families for over 9 years in the Philadelphia area. They identify as Black American, Trans Non-binary, Polyamourous, and Queer. Their upbringing guided them to pursue a career as a Marriage and Family therapist as well as informs their approach to therapy. Through their graduate school education at Drexel University, they believe in a systemic and person-centered therapeutic model with an emphasis on strengths-based framework which incorporates eclectic, CBT, and other techniques within sessions. They also have received consultation and utilized Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(TF-CBT) with teens and young adults.
